A day of whys....
Do you think that violence is capable of redeeming the world?
Do you measure pain for pain, blow for blow? Do you harbor hatred for your enemies?
What would happen if you offered forgiveness to your enemies?
Did Christ descend to earth as some holy warrior, on a quest to smite evildoers?
No.
Christ came as a defenseless, human infant. His plan was simple. He came to heal, to bring life, to proclaim the good news and to love.
Why then, are our plans so blasted complicated, so riddled with violence, so death dealing?
Why are we Christians so afraid?
Why?

Good questions. Why ARE Christians so afraid? The Scriptures tell us that "perfect love casts out fear". (sorry, but i'm too tired right now to look up the reference)
I think we are so afraid because we do not accept God's perfect love for us and for all of His creation.
BTW: Enjoy what I've read here on your blog and look forward to reading more.
