Bothered?
What is a blessing from God?
Is it a new car? Is it a salary increase? Is it restored health?
Is it compassion? Is it mercy? Is it love?
Is it all of the above?
I think we are far too glib when we speak of God's blessings. This bothers me.
The fact that I am uncertain about what a blessing from God truly is, bothers me.
Doesn't anyone else wonder about these things?
...or am I the only who bothers?

Well, in James 1:11 we're told that anything good comes from God. This is why David says, "This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it." I think a good measuring stick would be if it's good, it's a blessing. James
